Ethical Hacking क्या है, और इसकी क्या जरूरत है ?

Ethical Hacking वह प्रक्रिया है जिसमें किसी system, website या network को legal permission लेकर security testing के लिए hack किया जाता है, ताकि उसकी security में उपस्थित कमजोरियों (vulnerabilities) का पता लगाया जा सके और attackers से पहले उन्हें ठीक किया जा सके।

यानी Ethical Hacker वही काम करता है जो एक cyber criminal करता है, लेकिन उसकी नियत (intent) protection देने की होती है। एक तरह से आप इसे डिजिटल Security फाॅर्स का एक रूप समझ सकते हैं; जिसके पास Weapons तो हैं लेकिन आपकी सिक्योरिटी के लिए। — और इसका काम आपकी सुरक्षा बढ़ाना है, नुकसान पहुँचाना नहीं।

आज की digital दुनिया में data सबसे कीमती चीज़ बन चुका है, और जहाँ data है वहाँ खतरे भी हैं। यहीं से Ethical Hacking की ज़रूरत पैदा होती है।

Ethical Hacking की शुरुआत कब और कहाँ से हुई?

Ethical Hacking का concept 1990s में सामने आया, जब internet का commercial use बढ़ा और companies को यह समझ आने लगा कि “अगर वे खुद अपने digital data या assets की सिक्योरिटी test नहीं करेंगे, तो कोई और सिक्योरिटी तोड़ कर उनका डाटा चोरी कर सकता है।
